My Bat Mitzvah Chesed Project

In honor of my upcoming Bat Mitzvah this coming summer, I decided to raise money so that a girl in an orphanage in Netanya could have her own special Bat Mitzvah. It is such a special time in a girl's life and I want someone less fortunate to be able to celebrate in style and have wonderful memories and I too will have the privilege to share it with her. I can hardly wait!

I found out a little bit of information on the girl I am going to be "twinning" with. (That is the word they use when you share a bat mitzvah with someone else and celebrate together).

The girl I am raising money for is named Bas-Sheva. She is only a week or so older than me and she enjoys many of the same things I do, such as laughing and having fun, listening to music and she also loves the color blue and eating potatoes. I can't wait to learn more about her and I hope she will enjoy getting to know me as well.

Please help me reach my $1,800 goal! To get there, I am running a playgroup over Chol Ha'Moed Pesach for 3-5 year olds and all the money I earn will go towards this fund. For more information, please email me at the following email address: leorabarkai@gmail.com

Additionally, I am going to have a HUGE YARD/GARAGE SALE:&nbs p;Books, Brownies, Bears (and other Stuffed animals) and MORE! Please stay tuned for details of time and place after Pesach. There will be some wonderful new and like new books, all types, adults, children and everthing in between. Lots of stuffed animals, toys and even some delicious brownies and lemonade. All proceeds once again, will go directly to raising money for Bas-Sheva's bat mitzvah at the end of June, 2012 in Israel.

***I am happy to report, I have received another $110 in donations, bringing my total collected so far to $1,509.50. I only need another $290.50 to reach my goal.
